There is no Planet B.

Probably you have seen type of video that talks about the damage we are doing to our environment, our planet, our home. All this because of pollution. Have you ever considered  the damage you are causing by using your car, as a transport, or using too much plastic that end up in rivers and seas?

Our main problem is that more than 50% of the population have their own car, while other have to use public transport. Car gases pollute the air, that means, more cars, more pollution. A solution for this is that we have to start using more public transport , in that way there will be less cars pollutiong the air. It is not necessary for you to go on your own car everywere, for example to work. Besides if you take public transport there will be less trafic, so you will arrive faster.

Other terrible problem is the excess of plastic we are using and throwing away in two seconds. We may reduce plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic straws. All this end up on rivers and seas where many animals that live there die thank to all that plastic we throw away. Start using cloth bags, bottles you can recicle or reuse and NO straws or metal straws that can be reuse. In case you use a lot of plastic bottles recicle them, there are many people that have amazing projects for recicling and reusing plastic, the only thing you have to do is donate that plastic instead of throwing it away.

As my own idea, is not a big deal for you to contribute for saving our planet. There is no a planet b and we may take care of this one, for us and for our future generations. The planet has given us everything.

As a conclusion, changing the routine a little bit can change everything. You are the responsable of our own extinction and of saving our home. We are running out of time!

The importance of honesty today

After watching an online discussion programme about the honesty people have or should have I realise it is really important.

Most people think the most important people we should be honest with is our family and friends. Sometimes if you have a good relationship with your family or friends it would be easier to trust them and be honest. That may not be the case and that is more difficult for you to be honest. Anyway if you have a good relationship you cannot always be honest, sometimes it can be hurtful. For example, if something bothers you that your friend, familiar does and you want to be honest and tell them you don’t like them to do that, it may  hurt your friend or familiar.

Moreover being honest with your friends and family you must be honest with those in authority, but before that you have to be honest with yourself. It’s quite normal to pretend things to ourselves. But sometimes we need to be straight. If you have made something wrong you have to accept that it’s wrong. In that way you don’t have to lie to those in authority. Most people have lied at some time or another to authorities about minor matters but for important things you must tell the truth.

As a conclusion, I think honesty is very important, because in that way people will trust you. It’s not always good to be honest, but most of the time yes.

True or fact?

In history class we watched a documentary about the difficulties of knowing the truth about historical events. Sometimes historical events could be true, or not. 

First of all the evidence is the most important thing. To prove that the historical event is true you need evidence. You need to be very careful of not believing what someone says if that person doesn’t have any evidence.

Secondly, something that is very important to avoid is popular culture. Popular culture is when a historical event is exaggerated or it’s changed by the people. In the documentary a man said that some stones get passed down to generations, that’s why it’s difficult to know if the historical event it’s true or just exaggerated. 

To conclude, historical events are difficult ti prove. You will always need evidence and more to prove that what you’re telling or listening to is not a popular culture.
